"Artistic Hands"

Growing up I have always been artistic. From drawing, coloring, makeup, and decorating. My dad was retired from the Air Force, and he was always outside building something. I loved waking up to the sound of a hand saw, a shovel hitting dirt, or birds chirping. I had a flower bed that you had to walk down a set of hand-sculpted dirt steps. I had flowers, natural wood sculptures, and rock displays. It was nothing big, but it was big to me. I kept the weeds picked out and perfectly landscaped.

As I became a teenager, I ventured into interior decorating. My room stayed pristine. I also got into web design. My first website was called “ Beyond Night Fall;, which featured virtual dolls. It was a big thing when I was younger, for the girls to design their own dolls to display. I know the name was definitely not reflected as a doll site, but I also had other things posted. I started fan pages for my favorite movies and bands such as Halloween (movie) and Good Charlotte (band). I also had a section where I stored the lyrics for the songs I wrote.

When I was a pre-teen , I remember one of my childhood friends and I would draw pictures to coordinate with bible verses. We'd do this during the summer breaks from school, this would help us to describe what we read. Eventually, we stopped, as we got older we both started going our separate directions. She was my first friend when we moved to Mississippi, we met on my bus trip to school.

Poetry was also a passion of mine. Edgar Allen Poe was a favorite. Some of my favorite books which didn't include poetry were "Les Miserable", and "Whispers Through Time" just to name a few.
